Smoke alarms are life-saving devices that provide benefits for occupants. They detect smoke well before any sleeping occupant would and provide critical seconds to implement actions to save life and property.
Fire and Rescue NSW is encouraging residents to aim for a higher level of protection by installing interconnected smoke alarms throughout the property, (including hallways and stairways) and even the garage in their home.
The following will incur extra charges:
- Non-compliant smoke alarms will be replaced with compliant smoke alarms
- $22 per additional battery only alarm
- $75 per 240V hardwired smoke alarm replacement (to be done by our licensed electrician – if more than two require replacement)
- *Excessive call outs may incur extra charges should the damage be intentional
- Reattendance due to no access, may incur extra charges
